I am in my eleventh year in education. Over my career I have played a number of roles within the classroom, but I am a teacher. I love the job that I am lucky enough to get up and do everyday. Because of my passion, my multitude of experiences, and my work ethic, I consider myself a very effective teacher. To get a clear picture of who I am as a teacher, words of wisdom from the mouths of former students, I believe, would best do the job.
"Mom, Mr. Wetmore is the strictest teacher in our school, but you'd never know it."--former fourth grade student
"We told Mr. Wetmore what happened, and he listened to us and was very fair." Mom's reply: "Well, did you expect any less?"--a conversation between a former fourth grade student and her mom after my class and I had a conversation regarding a misunderstanding between what another staff member thought members of my class said and what was actually said.
"That's my teacher. He smiles all the time."--former third grade student pointing me out to another staff member
"Mr. Wetmore talks to everyone." --former student in one of my former schools informing her mom of one of my attributes she appreciated
